abnormal? yep, that's me.

so, ladies and gentlemen – i have finally come to terms and have accepted the following fact:

my life is abnormal.

yep, you read the line correctly. my -- life -- is -- abnormal.

questions, some of my friends asked me when i stated the following fact:

"jay, what in the "h-e-double hockey sticks" are you talking about?"
"what do you mean by abnormal"
"how do you live a life abnormal?"
well, i've realized that being “normal” or part of the trend, is well, boring. i'm ready to do something different that i haven't done. plus, my life itself has been what some may call "normal". although i never understood that, i have come to terms that i've always wanted to do something outside of the box and make my own shapes.

so, rather than vomiting a bunch of words to explain why i chose abnormal, its just better to show it. hence, the creation of the blog.

i've considered several ideas to do this within the blog: quotes from the day that stood out, journal writing, vlogs and others. so, i'll incorporate some of these elements, but i wanted something else that would challenge me a little more.

then i figured out.

one of my secret passions is believe it or not, photography.

for some of my friends and family, i am not camera shy but i never have a camera with me.
when i do have the camera though, i love capturing the moments one weren’t expecting to be noticed. we all know we have those photos that either capture the essence of an amazing moment in time that we wish we could back or those moments where we wish the memory recycle bin on the lefthand corner of our brains instead of the computer.

either way, each photo has words hidden behind it waiting to be told. i want to share my story of not just how my life is abnormal, but who i am through photographs.

starting november 22, i will begin posting photographs that would reflect my so-called "abnormal life". in between the time, i will finally buy a digital camera.

while my passion has and always will be teaching and selfless service, i always wanted to capture photography and figured that i could share a story while looking through the lens -- giving something a sense of purpose and hopefully encouraging others to do something outside their comfort zone.

i'm looking forward to sharing the lens with you. this should be fun =0)
